This last week we were able to spend time with Jonathan and Ally and her three sisters who were staying with them for the week. We had a really fun time with them all. On Thursday, we went on a hike with them in the hills close to our house.
We were looking for a spot to eat our lunch, but we wanted to check out the rocks first. Why? The answer lies above. ;)
We found a spot to eat our lunch that was free from rattlers.
When we got home, this is what we found on our beds. The Johnson children had written cards for us. Don't you love the way they spelled the guys' names? Kyle is "Kill" or "Kilye" and Andrew is "Ajru". :)
My name is "Rchel"--pretty close; but Rebecca's name is spelled "Rbacu". ;)
We had a busy day on Saturday--mainly preparation for our garden.
Don't you just love our gardening hats? ;)
Rebecca sewing with a little helper.
Mama, Bethany, and Julie planting seeds in the starting trays.
Timmy watering the fruit trees.
Jonathan came over to help dig that afternoon. Their digging was rather impressive. ;)
Bethany and me working on a puzzle in the living room.
We are thankful for the fun and productive times that we've had this past weekend. We've also been enjoying listening to some of the "Lamplighter Theater" dramas in the evening while we clean up and then make puzzles. The stories are a blessing!
"To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
O my God, I trust in You;
Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day."
(Psalm 25:1-2a, 4-5)

Sure glad Christa did not see that snake! I probably would not have caught her yet. We wish you the best with the garden. Our love, Lyle & Christa
Oh yes, Happy Birthday to Kyle!
Great post.

All the kids cards made me smile. I remember getting things like that from my siblings. And my name seemed to encourage all kinds of creative spelling :)
